About Solar PV

Agenda renewables is a fully qualified and Independent MCS accredited installer of Solar PV panels for both domestic and commercial customers.

Domestic Solar

Solar PV systems are becoming more and more popular due to the recent introduction of the government Feed in Tariff (FIT) scheme allowing owners to claim back money against the cost of their system.

Silicon solar cells are normally located on the roof of a building and they generate electricity by using daylight. This electricity can then be used to power your home or can be fed back to the national grid generating income for you.

If more electricity is needed than the panels are producing, your home will take the extra from the national grid through electricity supply. If, however the panels are producing more electricity than you need, the surplus is exported back to the national grid.

Having a renewable technology installed is a big decision for you to make, however there are several benefits to doing this which will make the decision worthwhile, both financial and environmental.

Financially, the government scheme called the Feed-in tariff pays you a set rate per kWh of electricity generated and an additional rate for any exported back to the national grid. This scheme by the Government is guaranteed for 20 years.

Not only this, but Solar PV panels can substantially reduce your electricity bills and give you long-term protection against rapidly rising energy costs. They can also increase the value of your home.

Environmentally, having solar PV can reduce your carbon footprint and generate a clean, green electricity supply.

Commercial Solar

Solar power gives your business the opportunity to maximise returns and protect itself against rising cost. By installing solar power you can generate a second income or reduce cost from unused space such as rooftops. If you are interested in giving your business an advantage through generating its own electricity, Agenda Renewables is perfectly placed to help you.

There are benefits to installing a PV system at the workplace. Not only will it create an income stream, but you will benefit from tax free returns which are guaranteed by the government for the next 20 years. It will also reduce the running costs and protect your business from future price rises.

Environmentally, it will demonstrate the green credentials of your business to customers, suppliers and the industry by lowering carbon emissions.

Energy Performance Certificates

Energy Performance Certificates (EPC’s) give information on how to make your property more energy efficient and how you can reduce your carbon dioxide emissions. EPC’s are required for all properties bought, sold or rented, but now they are also required to those wishing to install a renewable energy such as Solar PV panels.

Click here to find out more about EPC’s and where you can get them from.
